Summer is almost over at this moment, although I still bear some little hope that the heat will come back in September. In summer people do barbecue here, in contrast with the autumn practice in Hong Kong. In Bussardweg there is a grill corner for residents and we can use it in weekends.

So take a look at the grill culture in Germany...

Summer Grill
Every grilltime there should be a 'Grillmeister', and this is our Grillmeister Alex the tutor The firstcomers: Malak, Alex, Dirk (another tutor), and Nicolas
Everybody bring their own stuff.... ... then the Grillmeister will settle the rest.
Beer was for sale at special price! Pay attention to the slogan on Dirk's Tee: "Keep your environment clean" (Halte deine Umwelt sauber) :) ...
Eat and drink and bluff.... Alberto and Ivan, the two Spanish guys who lived right next to the grill...


What's About: In summer Germans have barbecue anywhere: at balcony, near the river, on beaches, or in backyards like us. They grill sausages, steaks, potatoes, chicken breasts etc on grill rack, instead of with forks like us. There is even such a qualification called "Grillmeister" (literally: grill master) and those who possess it are assumed having all knowledge about barbecuing: starting fire, best way of cooking, kind of sausages, etc etc...
