Ailie im Wunderland 2 - 2. Kapitel

My Online Diary still updating, and some deadlinks are fixed. And my friend CSL said it seems that I never let myself detached from Hong Kong. Yes, I am still discussing the pneumonia and the A. Leung case with friends on ICQ... so take care you all, especially those who work in the medical sector (e.g. Dr. Chan) and teaching jobs in Schools (e.g. Jeff, Gisela, Stuart and Melinde).

So on a not-much-thing can do weekend I just get around and take photos...

Rot-Main Halle
Here is a fresh market call 'Rot-Main Halle'. Rot Main is the river/ stream that flows across Bayreuth. Sure it is no Danbue in Regensburg... But anyway every Wed and Sat morning housewives (and single housemen maybe) will come here to get some goodies.
What you can get is fresh fruit.... ... and sausages...
Veggies... ... and flowers.

Sure there has always something comic alongside...
Some snapshots from the downtown
You cannot image how fanatic Germans are over ice cream. And even in a weather as cool as 5C, people rush to the ice deli and get a scoop.... (that reminds me about what my Putonghua student Lars expressed about his love of ice-cream. Lars, envy me!) ...And it is not bad to have a tea and cake under the beautiful sunshine. This is a big open cafe in Luidpold Platz
Here is the Finanzamt (or tax office anyway) of the city, and at its back is the Schlosskirche (Palace Church); the statue standing at the front is King Maximillian III
Here is where the famous White Beer 'Maiser Weisse' brewed. The weekend shopping crowd

What's About: According to the city statistics, the City of Bayreuth can be traced back around 12th Century, and one third of the city was destroyed during the WW II. Now the city is the ninth biggest city in Barvaria, with population of around 75,000.

Next Update: I will move to the student dorm at the end of March, so the next update will possibly featuring my new life there. And the blog is always somehow interesting too!
