Ailie im Wunderland 2 - London Special

As I have said in my blog, I went to London for a weekend right before my written exam for some research matters (the detail sounds somehow too weird to tell, so I skip it...). And here are some photos taken.

Indeed I enjoyed the trip much as it was not really shopping-oriented, but somehow spontaneous -- I can stop by anywhere I want, see anything which interests me, eat anything I want, and hesitate as long as I can (as usual)...

And back from London my knapsack was full of English groceries...

Something Very London
The London Eye Sphinx right at the Thames
Piccadilly Circus China Town
Theatre in SOHO Hotel Ritz
Oxford Circus The Liberty store near Regent Street
The Apple Store in Oxford Street Piccadilly at night
Creme de la Creme...
Pubs at street corner became my 'gas stations' when a refreshment is needed...
Some "Underground collection".... Mind the Gap...
Back to the beginning of the trip

What's About: Because I need to record some material for my thesis I flew to London for a weekend: joined a car-sharing from Bayreuth to the budget-airport Hahn, then fled to Stansted, and rushed to London and spent a night in a hostel, then start my Underground trip early in the morning. Apart from Underground I had rides with the Roadmasters (the famous old double deckers) to some non-tourist areas in London too.

After the weekend trip I took the train back to Stansted, spent a night at the airport (with some 500 other persons, ha ha), and caught the flight back to Hahn early in the morning.... back the Germany I took a nap at the airport again until P picked me up and showed me his hometown....
